CAREvolution (Revolutionizing the gender-responsive work-life balance through comprehensive targeting of employees well-being and mental health) is a project that tackles the unequal distribution of informal care responsibilities in modern society, which is one of the key drivers of gender inequality. It recognizes two interrelated realities: the denial of caregiving roles to men due to traditional norms, and the disproportionate caregiving burden placed on women. This dual focus enables a more comprehensive approach to reducing the gender care gap.

At the organizational level, CAREvolution works with employers and managers to build gender-responsive, family-friendly workplace policies and cultures. By equipping them with practical tools and inclusive strategies, the project helps create supportive environments that not only recognize but actively accommodate the diverse needs of employees.
In addition, the project addresses the critical role of social partners and public authorities, fostering collaboration toward long-term change in national frameworks and workplace structures. Through a multi-level, stakeholder-driven approach, CAREvolution aims to create sustainable impact across employment practices, cultural norms, and policy ecosystems.
